DEL RIO, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women and Men's Tennis each started the 2016 spring season with a pair of neutral site victories Sunday over Sul Ross State.At Del Rio High School, TLU Women's Tennis posted 9-0 and 6-3 non-conference victories over the Lobos. The Bulldogs moved to 2-0 overall, and Sul Ross dropped to 0-2.TLU Men's Tennis collected 6-3 and 7-2 victories over the Lobos. TLU improved to 2-0 overall, and Sul Ross dropped to 0-2.The Bulldogs dropped just one set on the women's side in the first match against the Lobos. In the second match, TLU swept the three doubles matches against the Lobos and split the six singles matches.On the men's side, TLU fell behind in the first match by losing two of the three doubles contests. TLU then reeled off five of the six singles matches to pick up the team win.In the second men's match, TLU took a 2-1 lead in doubles and then swept five of the six singles matches.Both TLU squads will be in action next at 10 a.m. Friday against Hardin-Simmons.
